The best thing about visiting different High Schools is learning new things. This week we visited Glendale High School and learned a little bit more then we knew before. It’s our pleasure to share all these things with you!

After a visit to our local office supply store (we won’t mention any names) and only leaving with a bendable ruler we decided to search online to find some extra special school supplies. Below are a few items that we are dying for!!! Our advice for students is to head to your local office supply store to get basic stuff like loose leaf paper and white out, then set your supplies off by searching online for the things that will make even your principle jealous.

HS students love their shoes! Sometimes it’s the only fashion statement HS boys like to make. You’ll see them wearing a plain t-shirt and jeans then go big with a bright colored pair of sneakers. The girls are seen wearing sneakers just as much as the boys, but surprisingly they seem to wear their sneakers for years while the boy are always wearing the latest most desired pair. Whatever way they wear their sneakers we love it cause HS students wear them best!

For students who want to remember their years spent in HS, take your own pictures! Most students only rely on their school’s yearbook to capture their memories, but we all know yearbooks never give every students equal amount of attention.
The majority of students only end up on one page, the one with their class photo. Don’t let that happen to you! Another school year has started which means it’s the perfect time to start taking your own pictures. Here are a few tips to help you capture the perfect HS memories!!!

1. If you don’t have a camera don’t get discouraged! Your phone or MP3 player probably has a camera built into it. The quality may not be as great, but years down the line you won’t care. You’ll just be happy you have pictures to look back on.
2. Take pictures of yourself! Make sure you ask your friends and other students to take your photograph. When you get busy taking pictures it’s easy to get left out. You can even take a photo of yourself every morning on your computer and watch how you change through the year!
3. Don’t just photograph your friends! You may think that the only students you should photograph are your friends, but trust us you should take pictures of as many students as you can. You never know what students you may start a friendship with after HS, which students will go on to become celebrities, or which students will become astronauts.
4. Keep your photographs organized! Once you start taking a lot of photos don’t forget to name the files and save them to a hard drive. (For digital photos). If you only store them on your computer they will eventually get lost. A great way to ensure that you won’t lose them is to give copies to friends and family! Don’t be the only person with the files or negatives.
5. Don’t forget your camera! If your camera isn’t built into your phone, it will be easy to forget it. It’s a good idea to set a reminder on your phone or write a note to yourself so you never leave it behind.

Students love field trips because it feels like being released from prison for the day, the outside world seems like a magical place of wonder.

Life should always be that way, not only when we are kept from it. If you go to a Museum, Zoo, Science Center, or anywhere that requires your parents to sign a permission slip, we would love to hear about it!! You may not be able to travel the world like jet-setting celebrities, but at least you can enjoy your field trips knowing that after graduation the world will be yours to conquer.

The Skirball Museum is a place full of culture, art, and design!

With beautiful lush gardens that made us daydream of a perfect High School when all days were minimum days…

The courtyard set with chairs for the evening concert at sunset gave us visions of graduation…

Tents for the archaeological dig, made us ask ourselves,“ How much of the world is undiscovered?”

And we sat a few moments on this bench to think about the things we learned inside while wishing to become more fascinating people!

They carried their books in stylish oversized handbags that complimented their outfits, wore flat sandals with summer dresses or delicate fabrics, and found ways to make even the hottest styles personal.

Now we understand why the El Camino students looked so very happy. When wearing an outfit their comfortable in, students are ready for anything that high school life throws in their direction.

This blonde beauty wears her simple black dress with sandals and a tote. She makes the HST style alert by wearing our hot trend..bracelets!

These two girls wear slim jeans, sandals, and tanks superbly. Showing us that El Camino girls can complement each others style without looking like twins.

This summer dress worn with a bright yellow flower in her hair tells us she’s not ready for summer to end. Or could she be heading to a beach party after-school?

These friends wearing lightweight sandals will keep their feet comfortable all day.

El Camino Real HS located in Woodland Hills, CA is said to be one of the better public schools in Los Angeles.

We decided to drop by and check things out for ourselves,we weren’t disappointed. In fact the school was very quaint despite being on a large campus and at 7:00am with the sun pouring over the mountains it was simply charming. When the students arrived we were in awe of the casual coolness they possessed. El Camino Real HS will definitely be seeing us again.

The boys kept their style easy-going. They paired shorts with socks worn high and jeans with eye catching belts. They were the quintessential california guys, so confident and chill that we wouldn’t be surprised if all the female students had perfect attendance!

Ice Cream is the official treat of the summer, it’s sweet, cold and brings on a delightful euphoria the moment it hits your lips.
